As a corollary to this topic, a question=E2=80=A6..

If one has two filters identical in all respects except size, would the =
bigger of the two be better? ie, does size matter?

I only ask because I have latterly been using large filters, Mann =
W1130/1. Made in Germany.:-

MANN-FILTER Online Catalog Europe - Product Details Oil Filter W 1130/1 =
<https://catalog.mann-filter.com/EU/eng/catalog/MANN-FILTER%20Katalog%20E=
uropa/Oil%20Filter/W%201130~1>=20

Impossible with the original Lucas starter.

Any ideas?

Thanks,

Simon

Don,

It makes absolutely no difference where the filter is made unless the =
manufacturer specifies different material in its manufacturing process. =
Absolutely every step of the fabrication is automated and made by robots =
except the step of lining up the bottom part of the filter and I doubt =
an American can drop it in place any better than a Chinese. See a video =
on YouTube how Fram filters are made.=20

Given the relatively low price of an oil filter, I would still change =
the filter every oil change.
