      This is what's known as a 'false economy.' Not that it matters a

      lot, but you'll leave a pint or so of old, dirty oil in the filter
      to mix with your nice, clean new dino oil. You're up on
      jackstands, or ramps or, if you're really fortunate, a lift; why
      not take 5min to put on a fresh filter? For just a few bucks more
