Probably not such a long shot. British manufacturers at the time used a lot=
of common parts sources. For a while I had the same key code on my 53 BN1 =
and my 57 Land Rover. It was great to be able to use one key for either car=
until my buddy ripped one of the cores off for his M. BMIHT didn't note th=
e key code on the certificate for my BN1=2C so I wasn't all that concerned.
