The cut off switch in the trunk of my car does not seem to be working, i.e. when I turn it to the off position, the car still starts. Can these be removed from the car and rebuilt or must I replace it with a new switch? If it can be rebuilt, is it something an "average" mechanic can do or should it be sent out?
