I double checked my spare N12YC spark plugs, this time with a pair of pliers, and find that the tips do not screw off. Sorry about that. It has been a long time since I have actually replaced them. It must have been other vehicles where the tips came loose in the package and had to be screwed on before installation. Senior Moment. Sorry!
