Hi Brian,
I=E2=80=99ve noticed a couple of different WIX 51516, which appear to be ma=
de differently, (inlet hole and valve flap material differences) and it was=
the manufacturing country indicating the difference=E2=80=A6. Although I d=
idn=E2=80=99t have an issue with either. =C2=A0Wix does specify the microns=
they will filter down to, so I suppose we have to trust that they are all =
manufactured to the =E2=80=9Csame=E2=80=9D specifications on the parts that=
matter. =C2=A0But, I know that sounds like a crazy leap of faith. =C2=A0(L=
OL)
I also cut apart my filters to examine what=E2=80=99s going on; I haven=E2=
=80=99t found anything concerning about the filter (or my engine - yay) yet=
.

Oil filters are made in many countries.=C2=A0 My son-in-law bought an oil f=
ilter for his Porsche Cayenne from Autozone that was make in South Korea.=
=C2=A0 They should be made my Mann or Malhe, etc.=C2=A0 I bought a 5/16 in =
universal fuel filter once made in Russia of all places.=C2=A0 I used to se=
ll fuel filters made in Israel.=C2=A0 Check the country of origin when buyi=
ng all automotive products and then make your determination as to if you wa=
nt to buy them or not.

0.79 to $19.97
I was talking with someone about this and who knows where the story came fr=
om, or accuracy, but the net net was they are allegedly now made in China a=
nd when cut away, no longer the same quality as in the past.
