Whenever I have run into this problem a few times, it has been one of the
following:
-Accidentally mounted an oil cooler sandwich wrong between the filter and the
block.
-A piece of gasket got lodged in one of the above sandwich oil passage holes.
-The pin on top of the oil pump drive gear came out, allowing the oil drive
shaft to jump up out of the oil pump.
-The clean out 1/8" pipe plugs were left out of the crankshaft.
