I find that four pounds is just about right. It's very worthwhile to have a
pressure guage right after the regulator.

This is what I have been doing since the early 70's. I bought a regulator,
someone at work set the pressure, and I have never checked the setting, or
the pressure between the regulator and the carburetors. I guess I better
start checking this pressure. It could be another potential trouble spot.
