Yah, i guess you could use a pushbutton for the bypass instead of the starter circuit. That might even be a cute anti-theft provision for a street car. But the intent of the cutout switch is not to prevent engine damage from low oil pressure. The intent is to stop engine fires when you hit something or turn over - you don't want that fuel to keep pumping after the engine has stopped because the fuel line ruptured! |
