Looking at a couple of possibilities for plumber the sensor for the
AutoMeter mechanical water temp gauge in the 2000. The thermostat has only
port and I don't want to drill any new holes in the block or head.
I'm thinking either simply replace the OEM sender, using an adapter or
retapping the threads, or maybe taking the thermostat housing to a machine
shop and having them drill and tap a partial hole already cast in the front
side of the housing. If I wanted to pull the AutoMeter gauge later for some
reason I could just plug that hole.
Wondering if anybody's done this?
