I have an electric pump in the back of my 68 2000 solex, the clicking is
annoying (I know, there are better things to get annoyed at) and I am
considering switching to the regular mechanical pump. Any thoughts?
Are they available through the regular channels, or is this a special vender
part?
BTW -- I had my second dead custom California ultralight battery Saturday (as a
result I had to drive the Corvette on Victor's and Eric's run Saturday morning)
and said the hell with it, went to Costco that afternoon, and got a very small
one that fit fine for under $39.99.
(Even with the Corvettee I could not keep up with Victor in the twisties,
although on the straights the Vette pulled away at speeds in excess of 115 mph.)
