It is true that the early 2002s used the Porsche synchros-
but most of us have swapped to the later box because the
Porsche box parts are so hard to find, and don't last!
I think the Datsun mettalurgy was better than ZF's back then.
I'm not sure about parts interchange, though- I have a dead old
Porsche BMW box- I should strip it and compare.
