It worked! OK, losing lights at higher revs

I've noticed that if I'm "getting on it" (a regular occurrence) my
headlights dim dramatically above approx 5000 rpm. Any ideas what's
happening? How I can fix it?

As a background, I'm not exactly positive it's over 5000 rpm. My speedo runs
about 20% over. Don't think my Tach does the same, but don't have the tools
to figure that out right now.
