Hey Pat! Educated guess is they're talking about a bored and stroked L-28/6
cylinder. Courtesy, MotorSports Auto and probably others may still offer a
kit to build a 3100cc L-6 using a diesel crank and large bore pistons. When
I was on the TAMU Z-Car list the subject periodically came up.
