Hi ,
Yes, I have only seen One car in my 31 years of owning and dealing
with Datsun Roadsters .
It was owned by the owner of the Last Datsun Dealer I worked for in
1978-1979 ,before I started
my own Datsun Z Car specialty shop ,Rising Sun Performance ,in Fort
Worth ,Texas .

It was a 70 model 1600 in mint condition ,save the A/C unit . It had
an under dash unit placed
under the passenger side with a Sanyo / Sanko type compressor mted on
the right side of the
engine . I assume it was installed by one of the Techs before I started
working there .

I can't give you any more details ,since most of it's pretty vague
now. Did it work ?
I guess it did ,but again ,I don't remember much since I'm a purist and
I considered it at the
time to be "Bastardizing" and Blastphamy . Good luck and maybe the other
listers rec shop in
Ft Worth can help you .I really doubt it since they won't have access
to a car / engine to make
a "one-off " setup .

<Hey Everyone,

With our first day pushing 110, I'm curious if anyone had installed or seen
a Roadster with A/C? I'd love to keep driving the car during the day, but
may have to save it for night time or trips to the coast.
