I am in need of a few parts for my 1969 SPL311 1600. I am willing to
purchase used if I must, but I feel the parts I need would be better
new. I am looking for the window channel (the metal bracket) for the
drivers door. I also need a few of the "twisties" that hold the
convertible top to the side and rear of the car. If these are available
from the dealer, I will go there, but I am sure there is a Roadster
specialist or something like that who will have these parts. Maybe not.
I just know this is the best venue to ask this question as most of you
are Roadster experts and I am just a newbie who loves his new daily
driver.
Also, my brother in law has a Roadster and while explaining a problem I
have with the top popping off the clamp in the front while I drive, he
told me about a car he saw at Shasta. He told me that the person who
owns the car had modified the 3 clamps with a locking pin or something
like that. If anyone know how this was done, or has any good suggestions
as to how to keep the damn top clamped down, I would be so very
grateful.
