I tighten the nuts down until the edges of the seal are just starting to tip out
from the side of the cam cover, then back it off a tiny bit. I also put a very
thin bead of wheel bearing grease on the bottom surface of the seal. The
2-bolts-in-the-center design didn't work all that well. You'll notice they went
to 6-on-the-edge on the 4-cylinder L-series.
