I'v gotta ask. I see that some folks have an electric
fuel pump hooked into the system as a spare. I like
that idea. My 2000 has an extremely loud Holly
Electric fuel pump which seems to work fine, but is
driving me nuts with the noise. I tried some thick
rubber grommets/washers to deaden the noise without
much help. I'm thinking about reinatalling a
mechanical pump. (not sure why the electric pump was
installed to begin with).

Can I leave the plumbing like it is, pull the wiring
off the electric pump, install the mechanical pump,
without any restriction problems? I do not see why
not, but someone may know a reason. Just asking.
Then I've got a backup if I encounter any unforseen
problems with the mechanical pump.

Make any sense??
