Brian,

        Exactly what are "adapters"?

I have 16x7 tuner wheels on my Roadster. I used adapters, not
spacers,
to get the proper offset. They look great and have been flawless since
installed. As many know, I have an FJ powering the car. Even with the
potent power, I have had no problems autocrossing, drag racing, or road
racing. The grip is substantial and immediate. I agree that spacers may
not be a good idea, but using the proper adapters and longer studs has
proven reliable.
