You should be able to choose from several hardnesses in urethane bushings 
soon if you can't already.  As far as longevity, we'll see.  I've worked 
with urethanes for over a decade, and they degrade too.  Some turn to 
goo, others turn brittle.  Since theyr'e under the car,  they should be 
protected from sunlight which is the real killer for urethane.  Smog 
(ozone) seems to be the thing that eats rubber.
