Since I have the engine out of my roadster, I was wondering if I should
change the rear main seal. I already took the pan off just to check
things. Engine is supposed to have about 20,000 miles or so. Has sat
for a few years but every thing else looks very good.
Is it possible to change the seal without removing the crank?
I believe that I read the seal should be soaked in oil over night and
then installed?
Is this true?
Are there any tricks to the main seal I should know.
