thanks to all for the plug wire pointers. I ended up getting the NAPA
(Belden) silicon. Did the generic kit so i could cut to length and
used 90 degree boots. Don't know if that's the best choice, but they
FIT better than anything else I've tried!
Also changed points,rotor,cap,condenser, re-adjusted everything back
to 'normal' (or thereabouts), and it's running like a top!
