Victor,

I love the pale yellow original color. Bob Smith of OROC still has the
the yellow paint on his 1969 2000 that was on it when he bought it new, and
Steve Lung, also OROC, has a '70 1600 that was restored to it's original
yellow. And I totally agree that there are far too many red roadsters
running around today.
But, when I was deciding what color I wanted my '69 1600 4 years ago,
before Mark Dent's site had more than 25 cars on it, and before OROC,
WyCROC, SEROC, NOWROC, MADROC & DRONE even existed, I wanted a different
color and one bright enough to be see by every phone yaking, makeup
applying, teen/golden ager on the road. So I went for the brightest YELLOW
I could find in the PPG book; Chrome YELLOW!
Since then I have seen more YELLOW roadsters show up on Mark's site and in
photos from the west coast. I have taken plenty of ribbing about how bright
it is. But I think the one person who has more to say about the color than
any one else, is ME. But then, if you can't have a laugh at your self once
and a while, what's the sense of hanging around.

Moral of the story; paint your car the color you want it. And just make
sure the hood and between the front fenders is always polished because
that's the only part you'll be seeing while you 'Enjoy the ride'!
