<< Rob,
That is an excellent piece of website. Very educational, too. Datsun
Roadsters must be pretty rare birds over there. Thanks for brining it
 to all our attentions.

Hi Mike

Thanks for the kind comments - this sort of feedback makes it all worthwhile.

We have few roadsters over here - those that are imported from the USA are
usually snapped up by buyers in mainland Europe. (I'm currently selling the
1600 that appeared in the 'Ultimate Classic Car Book' and the main interest
for the car is from Belgium Sweden & Norway) - the last 3 sold went for
between £5000 Sterling and £7000 (between $7500 and $10500!!). Last count in
the UK saw around 20 roadsters over here (1500s, 1600s and 2000s) of which
only 4 are on the road. We managed to get 3 roadsters together at a Japanese
auto show last August - the most ever seen together in the UK!

The great thing is no-one knows what they are - to blast by a TR6/MGB/MGF/MX5
etc and have them TRY and catch you (even in a desmogged 1968 SU2000) in an
effort to read the Fairlady badge is a real buzz. One guy in a Healey 3000
stopped me to compliment me on my Daimler prototype - I thanked him and drove
away.

I guess I'll just have to move to California.

Regards

Rob
