Yes, tere is a wqy totell if it is the gauge or not. Disconnect one of the
wires that
are on the backof the Ammeter. Turn on the headlights. If the lights don't
work,
the gauges areboth defective. If they work then someone had modified the wiring
harness to bypass the meter.
