Okay all,
The car I am repairing has flat top pistons in it. I
thought 68 1600 motors had domed pistons. The
cylinders measure out to not have been bored. I though
the 2000 pistons were a little larger. Any one know of
a good reason for putting flattops in a 1600? I am
also trying to figure out my gasket thickness because
I have to have the head shaved a little.
Oh well. Tore out the whole interior last night
because of the pink shag carpet. It is getting new
black carpet tonight and should have the vinyl pieces
put in by this weekend. then seats and then hopfully
the head will be back and some assembly!!!!!!
