| The bump stops are designed as part of your suspension system,
        so if you have the comp springs, you WANT to cut the stops!  Sharp's
mods are pretty accepted, so I think you're doing the right thing. 
Sharp didn't beat his cars to death unnecessarily...
        However, if you have a softer (i.e. stock) spring, you need all that
bump-stopping that the stock shape provides.  Remember the cool graphs
that Chris Coker put up?  The change in spring rate is caused by the
bump stops.  They really act as a progressively stiffer spring!  And
they just look like little lumps of rubber...
