Looking for an on-line photo or two of a 1966 engine compartment; stock.
Especially a good view of where the serial number on the block is ( I
thought it was passenger side, just above the alternator bracket, just below
the valve cover. The car I'm looking at has a strange block and serial
number compared to my '69 1600. I know the motor changed from 3 to 5 main
bearings and from SAE to metric over the years but I thought it was the same
block. This motor has the number on the drivers side, back by #4 cylinder,
no "R" and two separate 5 digit numbers?? Any ideas?
