A/C in a Roadster

One of our TDROC members from Houston put an a/c in his roadster. He bought
a small aftermarket compressor and routed the lines to the trunk. He custom
built a metal box for a blower and cut holes in the trunk wall for cold
air/return ducting. The a/c only works with the top up, but it works fairly
well. I looked up an aftermarket supplier (Vintage Air, 800-862-6658,
www.vintageair.com) in an old Rod & Custom magazine, and they seem to have
all the parts you need. They also have a catalog with technical and product
information.

By the way, only 13 more days until the August 28th Mini-Meet in New
Braunfels, Texas. It should be less than 115 degrees, especially in the
shade, and we'll have the pictures from the Show Me Missouri Nationwide
Rallye we had in June. All you Texas Roadster owners or prospective owners
come and visit. Or, if you want to drive out from California or Maine or
wherever, you're welcome. See you on the 28th!
