Very true, but the other half of that truism is, at the time he was making
those mods, an all original, low mile AC Ace was not a rare car.
As regards collector cars and in the vast majority of cases, stock, matching
number cars are more valuable than non-stock, non-matching number cars.
IMHO, we should preserve and protect those few original Roadsters that still
exist and save the mods for the remainder, which are in substantially greater
quantity.
