Plugging Smog Holes

Hi

I removed the smog equipment from my 2000 recently and plugged the holes in
the head and manifold using plugs that I obtained from Rallye. Although I
cleaned out the holes and screwed the pludgs in as far as possible, I'm
still getting the infamous "bird chirps". 

I've heard that some folks have been able to get tapered plugs, allowing
the holes to be plugged to an even greater extent. Does anyone know where I
might be able to get some?
