One of the most unknown Lotus-subject items is the Barber Motorsports Museum
in Birmingham, Alabama. Known primarily as one of the largest motorcycle
museums in the world, they are quickly becoming a Lotus car museum as well.
This organization is for real . . it's not some blue-sky promotion; it's a
major effort out of one man's deep pockets and the new facility they are
building includes an FIA road course suitable for autos and bikes alike.
Lee Clark is the Lotus curator and they have some really good stuff: Lotus
30, 18s, Eleven, Elite, 10 the Dan Gurney Lotus 29 Indy car and lots, more.
Check out the site . . they only hint at the Lotus dedication but Lee will
show you around if you make a visit.
