I hope you are following the messager with Ken. It would seem there are
two rubber gaskets out there...one with metal dowels..(obviously a
non-no) and another...all rubber. It is shaped to fit the rocker cover
and to provide a "grooves" for the head and its cover. For constant
engine fiddlers like me it is a useful item. Because of the grooves, it
"lips" around the edges aiving a band of rubber around the full edge and
has "tabs" in front.
