Gerry asked about whether it is difficult to mix and use PPG DP40; thought
others might be interested.

Gerry,

It's very easy to get the correct mixture. If you want to mix small
quantities, invest in a set of stainless steel kitchen type measuring cups
and do some calculations. Only problem is that when you spray it, you
always have a bit too much which wastes money (it is expensive), or you
have to mix a bit more, which is a pain. But this stuff adheres well, it
is waterproof, bondo will stick to it very well, and within a week or so
you can spray on your primer surfacer without sanding the dp40.

One warning. It is not good stuff to breathe. Apply it outside or in a
garage with everything open. Buy a high quality mask that uses activated
charcoal filters, and use fresh filters. A supplied air mask would be
better, but very expensive. I had no trouble with the charcoal filters.
Once you have sprayed it, get out of the garage--don't hang around
admiring it, you can do that later.
