In response to the recent posts about mixed-up plug wires, Stan
Fickes mentioned the Good Idea of writing on the wires or boots the
corresponding cylinder # once you have everything sorted out. Well for
those of you with either bad handwriting, or an active worry gene that
says the next time you clean you Gunk your motor you'll hose the numbers
right off, here's what I did;
I found at my local Computer supply house (Fry's), a bag of small
bands of heat-shrink tubing with numbers imprinted right on them. You
have to take a boot off the plug wire to get the band on, but once on &
shrunk, they won't come off, and look *very* professional.
