regarding your broken trakficator..do what I did that is
just go and purchase a 6 foot piece of 3/8" o.d. brake pipe
cut a slot in the end of I believe 5 1/4" with a 1/8" wide
slot (use a Dremmel cutoff tool) polish it with a piece of
steel wool, remove all burrs form inside and for about
$12.50 you are all fixed up.
