Three engines options were offered over the ~10 year life of the Ace:

AC designed OHC, Bristol OHV (of pre war BMW origin) and finally
the 2.6 litre OHV Ford Zephyr.  I think the Zephyr was offered from
about 1959 on.  In it's highest factory state of tune it developed 
~170hp.
