*** The Colortune manual specifically prohibits running the thing under
load. Seems that you can blow the little glass sparkplug out. As I see
it, you have two choices:
1) Fiddle and diddle with the car for a long time, messing with various
needles. Get a collection of brand-new sparkplugs, do runs at various
speeds, read the plugs. Unfortunately, modern unleaded gas doesn't
``read'' very well, although you can still see if its grossly rich.
Sears used to sell a exhaust analyzer that worked off of 12V. I don't
know how well these worked, but just imagine driving along with a
constant reading of mixture strength!
2) Find a tweak shop with a dynamometer, preferably one that knows
british cars. If you have the $$, this is what I'd recommend.
