I'm cheap

Last week on the way home from work the GT6+ began making vicious loud
noises from the rear, and I finally pulled into a gas station some
30 miles from home. I looked down and could see that my RR rotoflex had
left some large chunks of itself on I-44. Since I was tired, it was cold
and raining, and I really didn't have much of place to do repairs, I
called and had it towed to a sports car repair shop nearby.

After all, how much could it cost to replace two rubber doughnuts.

The answer: lots.

This is the first time in the 1 1/2 years I've owned this car that I actually
had work done on it. I've always done it myself. Now I know why! I figured
I was in trouble when every time I called they were grunting over stuck
bolts, removing axles, etc. Anyway, looks like a $400 job. Aaaargh!

True, it would have taken me longer, but I'd have done it for the cost of
the rotoflexes and I'd have felt a sense of accomplishment, too. I guess
I've learned my lesson. From now one, I'll tow or trailer it home and work
on it myself!

Humbled and ashamed,

Larry
