Spridget bearing spacers: it depends on whether you're running the
original ball bearings or have converted to seated tapered roller
bearings. In the former case, you want the spacers for the reasons
Randall outlined. In the latter, you're right - they don't do anything.
To the fellow looking for a C or D cam - TeriAnn is right, you can
probably do better than those cams today, from Ken Gillanders or
TriumphTune or Racestorations. But if you want one for purposes of
authenticity, Ted Shumacher will know where to get one, if they're
available anywhere at all.
