We need the parts suppliers just as much as they need us. Helping their
businesses stay healthy helps us. We can't afford to see a lot of them going
under. As long as they didn't fill up the digest with a lot of adverts I would
not object. Being a Jag owner, I would have no interest in seeing ads for MG,
TR, or AH body parts and racing stuff. Can we get Moss, Spec. Int., Welsh and
XK's Unlimited to participate?
I wouldn't want to waste my time reading ongoing fights over customer service
problems. People are quick enough to flame each other over trivia, let alone
serious problems.
And some of us are verbose enough about our marque specific details.

We have spoken of the "sales counter drone", and while I recognize the
business reasons for employing such people, I would expect the commercial
person involved would be knowledgeable enough to participate in our discussions
on an equal basis.
Technical expertise assistance is always welcome, and I suspect the suppliers
might be able to make a welcome contribution in the area of cross-marque parts
interchangeability. They'd be the most likely to know if a Bugeye and a Silver
Cloud use the same frammadoodle. Announcements of new reproductions of
previously unavailable parts goes farther than the suppliers may realize, if
the parts fit unusual cars like early Jags and MG saloons.
For example, does anyone at TRF, VB or any other TR outfit have any knowledge
of the Standard designed engines used in Jaguars pre-war thru the 1951 Mark 5?
What parts are common with the TR2, like rocker arms for example? I've tried
asking such questions by letter and phone and it doesn't work. This bulletin
board works because its easy and the netters care.
 Enough rambling thoughts for today.
Merry Christmas, friends, and go to church this Sunday. Rob
