Just wanted to inform Fellow Scions about the recently-completed
Tour of New England held by our Western NY MG Car Club. Actually,
it was Tour II, since we did much the same thing in 1991.
First day's drive took us - two TD's, a TF, two MGA's (including mine), a
Midget and several MGB's - 300 miles to Manchester, VT where the
Historical Mt Equinox Hillclimb and Hildene Car Show are held. Two
events, three days and several restaurants later we drove to North
Conway, NH for 3 days of wonderful twisty, hilly roads, outlet stores,
beautiful scenery and more restaurants. Single overnights in Stowe, VT
and Alexandria Bay, NY concluded the tour. We drove about 1300
miles in 9 days with only minor electrical and brake problems to
grumble about. We had beautiful weather most of the time, everyone gained a
few pounds and the British cars held up very well.
I highly recommend tours of this type for lbc's and their owners!
