Well, my TR6 has finally gotten back on the road after several months of
tuning and brake work to make it pass California smog and to make it
possible to stop it. Of course driving it this past weekend and this
morning into work has reminded me of the many projects that still exist
to do on this car. First and foremost, is the exhaust. I believe that
I must have an exhaust leak coming up through the passenger side
somewhat rusted through floor, or through the transmission tunnel. I am
lead to believe this because with the tonneau cover on the passenger
side I can readily smell the exhaust, but it is much better with the car
completely open. So, what are the likely places for there to be an
exhaust leak, rusted pipes, bad joints, both? How hard is it to install
one of the aftermarket exhausts? Do any of the Bay Area SOLers know of
a good exhaust/muffler shop to work on a TR6? After I get this done I
can look at the suspension, the burned oil coming out the exhaust, ...

Thanks,
Jeff Lo
