Hello again. In further adventures in trying to get an '80 Spitfire
going, I looking at the wires running under the driver's seat and
found them fused at about the point where the wire connected to the
hand brake runs off. A friend of my laughed and called it Lucasized.
I want to repair this and wondered if anyone has experiences with this
or opinions on how best to fix it.
What I am wondering is whether water leaking in is the likely culprit
or if the electrical system at that point decided that hari kari was
in order. Should I use different gauge wire than the original?
Should I replace the entire wire or just cut and splice?
