John Barlow had asked me to post the addresses I've
collected of people who offer kits to adapt the Datsun
or Toyota 5spd. to the Spridgets, & I thought this to
     be of general interest, so here 'tis;

     1-Mini Motors Classic Coachworks
       2775 Cherry ave. NE
       Salem, Oregon, 97303
       Tel. (503) 362-3187
       FAX. (503) 375-9609

Rex Urban is the President of this outfit, and cites
several testamonials of how successful the conversions
have been. This is (or was) also the place that made the
"new" Fiberglass/5spd. 25K Frogeye. They list all
components separately or the complete kit, with Datsun
210 trans., for US$1495. The fax I have from them is dated
     11/6/91.

     2-Morris Minor Centre
      Avon House, Lower Bristol Road
      Bath, BA2 1ES
      Parts Dept. Tel. (0225)447659
      Office (?) Tel. (0225)315449

I have less info about this place, except that they use
a Toyota Corolla 5spd, and also offer various stages of
kits. The complete kit with a fully reconditioned box
     goes for 637 pounds.

     3-Agape Classics
       Kilmersdon Garage
       Radstock, Somerset, BA3 5TD
       Tel. (0***)34573

These guys offer mostly the same kit as the place
immediately above, as well as other Spridget
performance upgrades such as a rear Watts linkage and
     front tube shock conversion.

Both # 2 & 3 sources were sent to me by SOLer Gerry Brinkman
on 10/31/91, so he might possibly have more or better
info, or at least the complete phone # of #3.

          cheers-
                 dstone@sc9.intel.com
