If you're talking about the iron-on transfer idea that I semi-jokingly
suggested a couple of weeks ago, it has been done, but there are a few caveats:
o It only works with Tek's "Phaser" line of color printers... the
ones that use the funky wax-jet system.
o For best results, the transfer should be run through the printer
twice (double printed). How well the second pass would line up, and
what the wax would do to the rollers in the printer's front end, I
have no idea.
o Naturally, the image must be reversed (mirror-image) before
printing so it will come out right when ironed on.
How the results look, and how durable they are, I have no idea. I got
this information from a friend who used to work at Tek (I'd have him try
it out, but he's been, as they say, RIFfed).
