The following was found on the mat under a lovely bitter while I was on a
recent trip to England:
WIN 3 NEW MINI COOPERS
To enter, draw or explain in writing in the space provided [or on a separate
sheet of paper], a scene which you think best represents the phrase "That Makes
A Refreshing Change". Complete your name and address above and post your entry
to the address below. On each of the three dates specified, entries received
by those dates will be judged and the winner awarded the prize of one Mini
Cooper. Entrants must be 18 or over. List of Rules & Conditions can be
obtained from the competition address. Judging dates: 31 August 1991, 31
December 1991, 30 April 1992. Final date for receipt of entries 30 April 1992.

The 'space provided' is roughly 3 1/2" X 1 1/8".
You still have time to rush your entry in for the December drawing. Of course,
if you win the silly thing, there's always the issue of how you get it home.
This is less of a problem if you live in the UK and more of a problem
elsewhere.
The only other thing the mat had on it was a drawing of a whale about to
harpoon a ship. It's actually a nice whale but it's not clear what the whale
has to do with a Mini, Woodpecker beer or "a refreshing change."
