Another Possibility would be hats, of course
one could just sew a patch onto a hat.
For recognizing each other, T-shirts would probaably be best.
If stickers were made, I would proudly display it on my
race car.
Come to think of it S.O.L. Racing has a certain ring to it :)
Though my british race car has been far more reliable than
the german one was. (the rabbit left me S.O.L. on several occarisions)
When it comes to the final design, remember the KISS principle.
Some thing with a lot of colours and different things going on in
the background will just look like a shapeless blurr from
a distance.
My vote would be for a simple oval with SOL,
(for a t-shirt, it could be superimposed over a Union Jack).
