I've asked about this before, but as a late followup to a stale
topic ("RE: 77 MGB ENGINE NOISE") so I'll try again:

Our 66 MGB recently started making a fairly loud vibrating/buzzing noise after
it warms up. We can't locate it because it stops happening
shortly after we pull into our parking space. Here are the symptoms:

The noise
1) starts after driving at least one mile
2) is loudest from the bottom of the car.
3) happens both when the car is in gear or out of gear
and it is most _audible_ when the engine is not under load and
is slowing down. It also occurs when the engine is under load
but it's not as obvious maybe because of the loudness of the engine.
4) happens both when moving and stationary, but stops shortly
after we pull into our parking space and start listening for it.

The car
1) runs fine
2) shifts fine (clutch works fine; clutch and transmission are new)
3) oil pressure is good.

Has anyone had any experience with a temperature-dependent noise like
this? Could it be either clutch bearings or the oil pump? Could it be
(heaven forbid) engine bearings?

Thanks in advance since I'm going away for a few days,
