I've not heard before that the '74 front springs aren't strong enough. Where
are you getting that information? Can you elaborate on what you mean by not
strong enough?
The "stabilizer" in your link is just a spacer. It would not do anything to
strengthen a spring but would raise the car's height relative to the
suspension. If your springs are sagging you could use it to compensate for
lost height but you still have a reduced range of compression due to the
sagging spring.
Springs can be retensioned by a qualified shop. Or you could have new ones
made.
